In short

TicketStay runs on your device. The app creates no online account and contains no ads and no tracking tools. We never receive, see or keep any of your data.

Its only network connections read public sources and send us nothing about you: the league's public standings, an arena photo hosted on Wikimedia Commons, the official seating chart (opened in a web view, at your request) and an update check with Apple's App Store. None of them contains your name or an identifier.

1 · Who is responsible

The app is published by Anthony Smith. For any question about this policy, write to hockey007smith@hotmail.ca.

2 · No collection on our part

We collect no personal data. The app connects to a few external services, only to display public information, and none of these connections sends them your data:

  • the league's public standings, read from the league's service when you open the Standings screen;
  • an interior photo of the arena, loaded from Wikimedia Commons when a game is displayed and an image exists;
  • the official seating chart, which you can open in a built-in web view (this page comes from the team's or league's website, for example nhl.com, and like any website it may set its own cookies);
  • a check with Apple's App Store at launch, to see whether an update is available.

None of these requests contains your name, an identifier or anything taken from your data. In the App Store privacy questionnaire, the app is declared as collecting no data.

  • no online account, no sign-up on any server
  • no usage analytics, no statistics
  • no ads in the app
  • no trackers or advertising identifiers added by us; an official web page you open yourself may contain its own
  • no third-party advertising or analytics SDK
  • no sharing or selling of data, since no data ever reaches us

3 · What you enter

Everything you enter is saved in the app's private storage, on your device.

This data follows your device's protection and, if you have turned it on, the device's iCloud backup, managed by Apple under its own terms.

  • your local account: name, optional email, and the PIN that protects management
  • your season tickets: teams, leagues, arena, season, cost, sections, rows, seats
  • your games and tickets: dates, opponents, each seat's status, prices, notes
  • the contact details of the people you pass a ticket on to
  • the images you choose as team logos

4 · The PIN

The PIN restricts access to management when the app opens. It is not encryption: it cannot be recovered and does not protect against direct access to the device's storage. It is never transmitted.

5 · Photo library

When you choose a logo image, the app uses the system photo picker. This picker does not give access to your photo library: only the image you pick is passed to the app. No permission to access your photos is requested.

6 · When data leaves your device

Only if you decide to, through Share season or Export my data. These features produce a text that you then send by whatever means you choose.

From then on, the data travels through the service you chose and is governed by that service's policy. We are not involved and receive no copy.

The shared text may contain the names and contact details of the people you passed tickets on to. Only send it to people who legitimately need to see it.

7 · Other people's contact details

The app lets you enter the name, email and phone number of the people you sell or give a ticket to. You are responsible for this information.

To go faster, you can also pick someone from your device's contacts using the system picker. This picker does not give access to your whole address book: only the person you pick is passed to the app, and no permission to access your contacts is requested.

Every entry can be edited or deleted at any time in the app.

  • only enter what you need
  • let these people know you keep their contact details to keep track of your tickets
  • remove them when they are no longer needed

8 · Retention and deletion

Your data stays for as long as you keep it. Deletion is immediate and permanent: since we hold no copy, we cannot restore anything.

  • Settings, Erase this team's games
  • Settings, Erase all data: teams, games, settings, account and logos
  • delete the app, which erases all of its storage

9 · Your rights

The rights of access, correction, deletion and portability under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, Canada's PIPEDA and the European GDPR are exercised directly in the app: you hold your data, and you edit, export and delete it without going through us. We have no file in your name.

10 · Children

The app collects no data from anyone and contains no inappropriate content.

11 · Changes

Any change will be published here with a new effective date. A future version that introduced any data transmission would be announced before it goes live.

12 · Help and community

A Discord server is open for questions, suggestions and problems: https://discord.gg/tpFYkftsW3

This server is hosted by Discord and governed by Discord's privacy policy. Taking part is voluntary and has nothing to do with the app's data, which stays on your device.

13 · Trademarks

Team and league names are used only to identify your games. The app is independent: not affiliated with, associated with or endorsed by any league, team or ticketing service. Logos are generated from the team name or provided by you.

14 · Website: My account

This section only concerns the website's My account page, not the app. Using it is optional.

  • without signing in, the season you paste or create on the website stays only in your browser; the Clear button removes it
  • if you sign in with GitHub, your GitHub username, name, profile photo and email, your preferences and your season (teams, games, tickets, buyers and their contact details) are stored with Supabase, on a server in Canada, so you can find them on your devices
  • the app's PIN, photos and logos are never stored by the website
  • a security rule means an account can only read its own data; we neither sell nor share it
  • you can export or delete your data, or delete your account, at any time in My account settings
